Q. What are the forms of payment do you accept and when do I pay?
Q. How do I know that the tutoring is working for my child?
A. Linda Star Tutoring accepts the following forms of payment: Venmo and Zelle.

Sessions are paid in advance. You may choose bi-weekly or monthly.
Group sessions are billed one month in advance. There is no weekly or biweekly option for that since the groups are formed according to level.
A. At my first session, I conduct a reading assessment to determine the reading level and what are your child's difficulties. After three months, I conduct a follow-up assessment to determine if trouble areas have been mastered and what the trouble areas still need to be addressed.

Q. What if I have to cancel a session?
A. If you have to cancel a session, I ask that you give me 24 hours advance notice in order to receive a makeup session. If an emergency happens (with less than 24 hours notice) and you are unable to keep your appointment, please reschedule a makeup lesson, otherwise, you will be charged for the session.
All lessons canceled by me will be made up in a timely manner.

A. I charge an hourly rate of 50.00 per hour. I charge the market rate based upon region,experience, qualifications and results. There are no registration fees or extra testing fees which some centers charge.
